Stroke index one - the most demanding hole on the course.
Slight dog leg left par 4, with a gentle rise to the fairway, followed by a another soft rise to a multi tiered green.
Slight dog leg right with a pleasing to the eye approach shot from a height to a green guarded by three bunkers to the right with banks and stream to the left and through the green.
First par three on the course which demands good clubbing and a well stuck medium iron normally played with the prevailing wind being into and from the right. The front of the green is gaurded by a hidden stream, with banking protecting the rest of the surronds of the green
Demanding par four with the green being protected by the river to the front left.
Shortish par four with a gently sweeping green towards the bank of the river to the left.
Longest par three on the course which plays it's full yardage on most occasions.
Slight dog leg left par four with an ideeal tee shot laying up just short of the river, leaving a short iron to a deep green.
A challanging par three, played over the Ilse of Kelly river to a wide but narrow green.
A par five which nomally plays its full length into what is perhaps the biggest green on the course.
Semi blind tee shot to the landing area on what is, in Ballyclare terms, a generous fairway.
Long par four which gently rises all the way to the green.

A sloping fairway demands an accurate tee shot, particularly in firmer conditions.
On the last par five on the course, the fairway falls off to the right all the way, with rough and trees catching the unwary golfer, normally at the cost of a shot or two.
A succesful tee shot to very narrow fairway between banks of trees on both sides of the fairway will set up a nice shot to a long and norrow green which falls off to the left and rear of the green.
